Dee Ann says: I spent five magical weeks in three different tiger reserves with my friend, escort, and keen naturalist Mahendra in 2013. Although the timing of this trip was in the middle of the hot season, where temperatures ranged from 110° to 118°F (43° to 47°C) each day, it afforded greater possibilities to capture images of tigers in ponds and lakes. The heat was the most intense I have ever experienced over an extended period of time, but when willing to be patient in the face of what Mother Nature may offer, enchanting moments happen. Over the years, I’ve been fortunate to experience many special moments in nature, indelibly etched into my memory, and this day with this regal cat and her reflection in this pond which I had envisioned for 10 years, will take its place as one of them.
